Chemical control of Pomegranate Mealy bug

Karnataka: 

Spray dimethoate 30EC @ 1.7ml/l or imidacloprid 17.8 SC@ 0.3ml or dichlorvos 76EC @2ml and fish oil rosin soap @5g per liter of water 

TNAU:

  1. Spray triozhophos @ 2 ml+ neem oil 5 ml/1, phosalone 35 EC @ 1.5 ml+ neem oil 5 ml/1.
  2. Spray methyl demeton 25 EC or monoccrotophos 36 WSC @ 2ml/lit
  3. Spray application of dichlorovas 76 WSC @ 1ml/lit + fish oil rosin soap @ 25 g/lit  

Andhra Pradesh

Spray chloropyriphos @ 0.02% or imidacloprid @ 0.04% or deltamethrin @ 0.15 or dichlorovos @ 0.05% as prophylactic. 

Solapur:

  1. Remove affected twigs and small branches.
  2. Spray monocrotophos @ 0.1% or chlorpyriphos @ 0.02% or dichlorovos @ 0.05%.

  1. Spraying of insecticides like dichlorvos @ 0.02% or malathion @ 0.2% with fish oil rosin soap was found to control the insect    population.
  2. Application of Phorate 10G @ 20 g/plant is effective in controlling the pest population in the soil.
