Cultural control of Fusarium wilt in Pigeon pea

•   Select field with no previous record of wilt for at least 3 years
• Grow pigeon pea intercropped or mixed with cereal crops. e.g. sorghum
•   Rotate pigeon pea with sorghum, tobacco, or castor every 3 years
•   Inter crop with cowpea, safflower
•   Uproot wilted plant
• Solarize the field in summer to help reduce inoculum
