Phosphorus

Underside of leaves are reddish purple

Growth dwarfed; leaves lustreless dark green, laminae and petioles dull purple tints; older leaves marginal scorch and wither early.

Foliar application with 3% triple super phosphate

Potassium

Middle part of leaves bluish green .leaf margins are pale yellow to brown

Leaves backward curling and scorching of margins.

150kg k2o/ ha may be applied .

Calcium

Leaves shows interveinal  chlorosis,tap roots fails to develop.

Foliar spray 2%calcium chloride.

Magnesium

Old leaves shows chlorosis. Veins remains green .roots are small .

Older leaves marked intervenal chlorosis.

Foliar spray with 2%mg sulphate.

Iron

Young leaves shows chlorosis .

Foliar sprey with 0.4%ferrous sulphate+0.2%lime.

Manganese

Growth is poor .radish is highly sensitive to mg deficiency.

Soil application of mg sulphate at 5-50 kg / ha.

Zinc

Root development is poor .plant growth is poor .

Soil application of zinc sulphate at 10 kg /ha .

Copper

Plant groth is poor . root development is poor .

Meghalaya 5 kg copper/ha.

Boron

Growing tipps dies .leaves shows yellow or purplish red blotches.leaves are smaller than normal .

Foliar spray  with  0.1%borax solution three weeks after sowing .soil application of boron at 2.5kg / ha.

Molybdenum

Retarded growth .leaves are narrow , leathery,pale green .

Soil application of sodium molybdate at 1.2kg /ha.
