FAO:Headquartered in Rome(Italy) its primary mission and objective is to eradicate hunger and malnutrition around the world. It also coordinates research work done by various nations in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry and livestock management. For the very highly specialised work that it does it needs a modicum of independence wherein no powerful member nation can impose upon it a national agenda which is violative of its basic principles. This does not happen and if so why. This is a point which needs to be debated
