JULY MONTHLY WORKS

Plains (Cereal crops)

 Paddy

 


  • Use 20-30 days older seedlings for transplantation.
  • Transplant two seedlings at a place.
  • Straight sowing of paddy must be completed within first week of July.

 Peanut


  • Sowing must be completed by the mid of July.
  • The seed rate is 80-100 kg/ha. Row to row distance should be 45 cm.

 Millet


  • Appropriate time for sowing is second or third week of July.
  • In rainfed areas, the seed rate is 4-5 kg/ha.

 Maize


  • First hoeing must be done within 15 days of sowing. If sowing is not done, then it should be completed as soon as possible.
Moong and Urd                    
  • Sowing must be done from mid of July to first week of August.

Soybean

 


  • In northern plains and central areas, best time for sowing is last week of June to first week of July.
  • Certified seed should be used at the rate of 75-80 kg/ha.
Arhar
  • Complete sowing within first week of July. The seed rate is 12-15 kg/ha.
Sugarcane
  • Prevent the crop from falling down and make proper arrangements for drainage of water.

Hills (Cereal crops)

Paddy


  • Transplant at least 2-3 seedlings at a place.
  • Use fertilizer in the month of June.

Maize



  • Weeds should be removed regularly from the crop.
  •  Maintain the moisture content in the field.
  • Separate the extra plants from crop.

Soybean


  • Weeding should be done regularly and plant to plant distance should be maintained 5-7 cm.

Plains (Fruits and Vegetables)

Mango

 


  • Start the transplantation in order to make new orchards.
  • Send ripened fruits to the market
  • Make arrangements for drainage of water from orchard.
Banana
  • eparate unwanted leaves. Start transplantation in orchards.

Lemon


  • Make new orchards. Clean the nursery.
  • Make arrangements for drainage of water from orchard.

Guava


  • Start the transplantation in order to make new orchards.
  • Use nitrogen fertilizer in the orchards.

Grapes


  • The ripened varieties are to be sent to the market.
  • Make arrangements for drainage of water from the orchard.
Papaya
  • Maintain proper drainage in the orchard.

Litchi


  • Maintain proper drainage in the orchard.
  • Start transplantation in orchards.
Peach
  • Send ripened fruits to market.

Tomato


  • Prepare the field for transplantation.
  • While preparing seedbed, mix 80 kg of super phosphate or 80 kg of potash in the soil.

Brinjal


  • Start transplantation from first or second week of July.
  • Plant to plant distance should be 60X60 cm.

Chilly


  • Pluck the fruit and send to market.
  • Transplantation should be done at a distance of 60X45 cm.

Ladyfinger


  • Pluck the pods and send to the market.
  • Hoeing should be done as per the requirement.
  • Make arrangements for drainage of water.

Cucumber


  • Hoeing should be done as per the requirement.
  • In order to prevent crop from insects, spray 2% of Sevin insecticide.

Hills (Fruits and Vegetables) 

Apple
  • Sow the soil conservation crop in orchard. Send the ripened fruit to market.
Pear
  • Spray Blitox-50 to prevent the crop from diseases.
Peach
  • Send ripened fruits to market.
Potato
  • Dig the crop and send it to market. Hoeing and irrigation is required in standing crop.
Tomato
  • Hoeing and irrigation is to be done. Send ripened crop to market.

Brinjal


  • Hoeing and irrigation should be done in the crop as per the requirement.
  • Make solution of 0.2% Sevin and spray it to prevent crop from diseases.

Chilly


  • Hoeing and irrigation should be done in the crop as per the requirement.
  • Send ripened fruits to market. Spray 0.2% of Indophil-45 solution to prevent crop from diseases.
Ladyfinger
  • Hoeing and irrigation should be done in the crop as per the requirement.

Cucumber


  • Hoeing and irrigation should be done in the crop as per the requirement.
  • Send ripened fruits to market.
