Price Forecast of Groundnut  Crop

In NEK region, groundnut is cultivated during rabi/summer and hence the arrivals are more during March to June months. The prices have been forecasted to ` 3,700 to ` 4,500 per quintal during November to December 2012. The Government of India announced MSP of ` 3,700 for the year 2012-13. The farmers can realize an additional market price of ` 100 to ` 250 per quintal if dried and cleaned produce is sold in the market.
