Representatives from 16 countries as well as regional and international organizations concerned with groundnut production and research in West Africa attended a meeting at Sadore near Niamey to follow up on the recommendations made during the first meeting held in 1988 as well as review the progress made in groundnut research since then. Presented in this volume in English and French are the welcome and opening addresses, summaries of 31 papers and recommendations. Papers reviewed groundnut research on agronomy and production, breeding, pathology, and utilization.
