Water management:
Under submerged soil condition, 2-5 cm of standing water should be maintained. In case of uplands 2-5 irrigations depending on rainfall of the region should be given. The crop should not suffer from water stress in the critical period of the growth i.e. from panicle initiation to flowering in any case particularly under organic farming system
