• They suck the cell sap of younger parts.
• The leaves of attacked plants turn pale and dry.

 Control:

• Grow tolerant/resistant varieties.
• Spray Phosphamidon (0.03%) or Dimethonate (0.03%) at 15 days interval. Stop the spraying of crop at least 20 days before the picking of pods.
