Damage symptoms :
Stunted yellow plants.
Typical U-shaped notches from the edge of the leaflets.
Description :
Adults are 4 mm long and brown and white .
Adults emerge in winter and lay eggs in the soil.
The cream colored larvae feed mainly on nodules.Only one generation per year.
Sitona Weevil Control :
- Damage of plants and nodules is less than 5%, consequently does not merit specific control measures.
