Yield levels of Pigeonpea
Yield:
- Northern region (Karnataka State): 4 - 4.8 q/ac
- Southern dry region and transitional region(Karnataka State): 5 to 6 q/ac
- Mixed cropping: 1 to 2 q/ac
Note:
- Nipping should be done at 50 days after sowing at 5-6 cm from the top which helps in branching and higher pod yield.
- To avoid excess vegetative growth spray Mefvicot Chloride @ 3ml per litre of water at 70 DAS.
- To avoid dropping of inflorescence and young pods take up spraying of Naphthalin Acetic Acid @ 20ppm for three times at an interval of 15 days.
